Start a New Rank Ready Document

Frase pulls SEO topic data by scraping the top 20 Google search results and using Natural Language Processing to identify key semantic terms. You’ll start by targeting the query you want to rank for.

1. In the upper left corner, click New Document.

2. Select Rank-Ready AI Document, then click Continue.

3. Type your search query—the term you want to rank for—and click Process query.

4. Once the results are done processing, click Next to move to the Title section.

Create a Page Title

1. In the Title section, type your preferred title.

2. Or, click Generate titles with AI to browse ideas.

3. Click Next to continue to the Topics section.

Customize Your SEO Topics

Frase automatically surfaces semantic SEO topics from top-ranking content. These topics guide the AI to write with better SEO alignment.

• Remove any irrelevant topics.

• Add new ones manually if needed.

• When ready, click Next to move to the Outline & Instructions section.

Build the Outline and Instructions

You can build your outline manually or let AI help.

1. Add a heading and press Enter to confirm it.

2. Or, click Generate outline with AI for a head start.

3. Use the three-dot menu next to a heading to edit, delete (trash icon), or reorder (drag and drop).

4. Click Generate instructions with AI to add draft instructions tied to each section.

Use instructions section to add key company, product, or client-specific information so the AI draft is customized to your needs.

Choose a Tone of Voice

Frase lets you define how the AI should write your draft.

• Select a preset tone from the dropdown.

• Or toggle Use custom tone and write your own description (e.g. "friendly and educational, like a helpful mentor").

Review and Generate Your Draft

You're almost there!

1. Review the full setup—topics, outline, and tone.

2. Click Submit to generate your Rank Ready draft.

3. A preview window will appear. Click Review and optimize to open it as a full document.
