Why Use Content Opportunities

Frase's Content Opportunities tab is your content performance command center. It uses your Google Search Console data to surface three types of opportunities:

  • Fix what's falling: Spot content decay early—before rankings drop significantly.

  • Boost what’s rising: Improve pages already gaining traction to maximize results.

  • Fill strategic gaps: Identify high-potential queries you're missing content for.

Instead of spending hours digging through data, Frase surfaces what matters—then nudges you to act with digest emails and Slack alerts.

How to Get Started

You’ll need to connect your Google Search Console account to use this feature.

When you first access the Content Opportunities tab, you’ll be prompted to connect Google Search Console. This allows Frase to analyze performance data and surface insights automatically.

  • Switch Between Domains
At the top of the page, use the Domain dropdown to toggle between any websites connected to your account.
  • Filter by Date Range
Use the date picker below the domain selector to zoom in on specific time periods for performance comparison.
  • Export Your Insights
Click Download Report to export your dashboard data as a report for internal reviews or stakeholder sharing.
  • View Your Summary
Click the Summary button for a high-level snapshot of your site’s performance, key issues, and focus areas.

Understanding the Dashboard

Your dashboard is divided into performance metrics and actionable insights. Here's what you'll find:

  • Customize the Graph View
Toggle between Clicks, Impressions, CTR (click-through rate), and Position. Below each stat, you'll see the change compared to the previous period.
  • Needs Attention
Pages in this section are losing rankings and traffic (more than 2 position drops and fewer clicks). These are priority pages to refresh or re-optimize.
  • Optimize Content
This highlights pages that are gaining impressions or just shy of great rankings. Think of these as low-effort, high-reward opportunities.
  • Create Content
This section identifies content gaps based on queries you're already ranking for. It’s your best source of inspiration for new content creation.
