Essential Keyboard shortcuts

Want to work faster in the editor? Here are the essential keyboard shortcuts to help you format, generate, and control AI-assisted writing without lifting your fingers from the keyboard.

AI Writing Shortcuts

• Press the spacebar on an empty line to open the AI command block.

  Use natural language to tell the AI what you want it to write.

• Press Command + Enter      (Mac) or Control + Enter      (PC) to have the AI continue writing.

  Perfect when you need help finishing a paragraph or thought.

• Press Escape     to cancel AI generation.

  Stop the AI mid-sentence if you want to take over or start fresh.

Formatting Shortcuts

• Press /      on an empty line to open the formatting menu.

  Add headings, lists, tables, images, and more in a few keystrokes.

• Use Markdown for quick text formatting.

  Add #      for headings, *      for bullet points, and other familiar syntax to speed things up.
